Ventec to Supply National Stockpile With Nasal Ventilation Kits

Ventec Life Systems will deliver ventilator accessories worth $75 million to the national stockpile for a type of non-invasive nasal ventilation that can be used for Covid-19 patients.

High-flow nasal cannula therapy is a more intense version of traditional oxygen delivery that is used for patients with lung or heart conditions that impair breathing. The flow is delivered through tubes that are inserted into the lower part of the patients’ nostrils.

The accessories work with 30,000 ventilators made by Ventec and General Motors Co. that were purchased by the Department of Health and Human Services for $489.4 million in March, ...
