Ventec Life Systems will deliver ventilator accessories worth $75 million to the national stockpile for a type of non-invasive nasal ventilation that can be used for Covid-19 patients.
High-flow nasal cannula therapy is a more intense version of traditional oxygen delivery that is used for patients with lung or heart conditions that impair breathing. The flow is delivered through tubes that are inserted into the lower part of the patients’ nostrils.
