US Chamber Stands by Bid to Pause Medicare Drug Price Talks

The US Chamber of Commerce and several of its affiliates asked a federal judge to reject the Biden administration’s motion to dismiss the business group’s lawsuit seeking to halt Medicare’s drug price negotiation program.

The chamber and its members, which includes Imbruvica manufacturer AbbVie Inc., are likely to face irreparable harm if Judge Thomas M. Rose of the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio doesn’t issue a preliminary injunction on the drug price negotiations, the organization said in a filing Friday.

The organization and its affiliates argued their members are already suffering “unrecoverable losses.”
