US Bancorp Denied Quick Appeal in Retirement Plan Fee Lawsuit

US Bancorp lost its bid for an immediate appeal of a decision greenlighting litigation over its retirement plan, when a Minnesota federal judge said the bank “has not come close” to showing that such a move is warranted.

The bank is challenging the court’s application of “settled legal standards to particular allegations found in a particular complaint,” which isn’t a controlling legal question warranting an immediate appeal, Judge Patrick J. Schiltz said Tuesday in an order blocking the process.
