Unvaccinated Minors Must Stay Indoors in Rockland County, N.Y.

Minors who have not been vaccinated against the measles will be barred from public places in Rockland County, N.Y., for the next 30 days.

County Executive Ed Day (R) issued the emergency declaration March 26 as part of a continuing response to a measles outbreak in Rockland, in the northern suburbs of New York City. The county Health Department has already counted 153 cases, with 82 percent having had no vaccinations and another 10 percent having unknown vaccination status.
