UMass Students Sue Over Mandatory Covid Vaccine Policy (1)

University of Massachusetts students sued the Lowell and Boston campuses to challenge policies requiring them to be vaccinated against Covid-19 before returning for the fall semester.

Federal law prohibits requiring people to take vaccines approved under the emergency use authorization law, which includes the three vaccines now being offered to prevent Covid-19, the students say in a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

UMass Lowell’s policy states that all students must be full vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to “live, learn or visit any UMass Lowell campus or property,” the complaint says.
