Ultrasound Provider Fails to Nix Philips Medical Hacking Lawsuit

Ultrasound Online LLC failed to shed a computer fraud and trade secrets lawsuit after a West Virginia federal judge found the court had personal jurisdiction over the ultrasound technology provider.

The Southern District of West Virginia has personal jurisdiction over Ultrasound Online in the suit it’s facing from Philips North America LLC because the company conducted business in the state, Judge Joseph R. Goodwin wrote in an opinion filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.

Attorneys representing Ultrasound Online didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
