Tyson Nearing Settlement in Covid Religious Exemption Lawsuit

Tyson Poultry Inc. and a former employee are working to finalize a settlement in a lawsuit alleging it terminated workers instead of granting a religious exemption to its Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

The joint status report was filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri on July 7. The report said both parties agreed in principle to a resolution of Clifton Reese’s claims following a US Supreme Court decision.

No details were available in the filing. Neither party immediately responded to a request for comment.
