Tyson Foods, Ex-Employee End Bias Suit Over Covid Shot Mandate

A former Tyson Foods Inc. worker agreed to drop her suit against the company over religious accommodations for its Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

The parties filed a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice on Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Sarah Pearson requested to continue working remotely and be exempted from Tyson’s vaccine mandate due to her religious beliefs in 2021. The company granted her request, but after considering her work responsibilities, Pearson alleged Tyson gave her a Hobson’s choice of taking the vaccine against her religious beliefs or going on unpaid extended leave.
