Two N.Y. Doctors Sentenced to 20 Months In Biodiagnostic Lab Services Kickback Case

Two doctors who billed their medical practice as the “longest tenured family practice in Manhattan” have been sentenced to 20 months each in prison for taking bribes to send bloodwork to a New Jersey lab, the Department of Justice has announced (United States v. Leedssentencing; United States v. Goldbergsentencing).

Richard Goldberg, of Weston, Conn., and Gary Leeds, of Greenwich, Conn., are the most recent doctors to be sentenced in an extensive bribery scheme involving Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services LLC of Parsippany, N.J. 96 HCDR, 5/19/15, 19 HFRA 430, 5/27/15, 96 DER A-4, 5/19/15.
