Two Indicted for Bilking New Jersey in Compounded Drug Scheme

A Florida physician and a New Jersey pharmaceutical sales representative accused of defrauding $2.5 million from New Jersey state health benefits programs were indicted, the Justice Department said.

Frank Alario, the physician, and Keith Ritson, the sales representative, are charged with conspiracy to commit health-care fraud and wire fraud and with a second conspiracy to disclose patients’ individually identifiable health information, the Justice Department said Thursday.

The indictment is the latest in a series of prosecutions by the U.S. Attorney’s office in New Jersey of people charged with bilking health benefit plans out of millions of dollars by submitting false ...
