The doctors at the Peachtree Women’s Specialists OB-GYN practice in Atlanta began their Tuesday morning fielding a barrage of questions from patients asking if Tylenol was safe for them to take.

The night before President Donald Trump had launched into a tirade about the medication long recommended during pregnancy to treat fevers and aches and pains. He and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. amplified unproven links between Tylenol and autism, with Trump urging pregnant people to instead “tough it out,” rather than take the drug.
