The Trump administration will reconsider Idaho’s plan to expand its Medicaid benefit to new mothers after a previous version of the program was denied because it excluded women whose pregnancies ended through elective abortions.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on Friday released a notice announcing it will hold an administrative hearing April 2 to reconsider a decision denying the state’s petition to offer low-income women access to continuous Medicaid coverage during and 12 months after pregnancy.
