The Trump administration proposed new medical price transparency rules Friday in a bid to strengthen rules released during the president’s first term.
The proposed rule (RIN: 0938-AV64) would make changes to payer price transparency regulations in an effort to improve the accessibility of pricing disclosures to consumers. It aims to update the standardization and reliability of the public pricing disclosures from non-legacy group health plans and health insurance issuers offering non-legacy group and individual health insurance coverage.
