Trividia Health Inc. defeated a whistleblower’s suit alleging that it violated the False Claims Act by billing federal healthcare programs for defective test strips used by diabetic patients to monitor their blood glucose levels and manage their insulin intake, a federal district court in Florida said.
Patricia Crocano, a former Trividia employee, didn’t raise specific allegations that Trividia directly submitted any false claims to a federal healthcare program, Judge Rodolfo A. Ruiz II of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said in a Monday order dismissing the suit.
