Trinity Health Beats Doctor’s Whistleblower Claims

Trinity Health shook off allegations that it engaged in a kickback scheme and submitted fraudulent Medicare claims to the federal government.

Dr. Rafik Benaissa alleged that he was terminated in retaliation for challenging their compensation system, which allegedly rewarded doctors for referring patients to Trinity facilities for unnecessary procedures.

He also alleged that Trinity physicians over-billed for patient consultations, receiving inflated reimbursements through Medicare.
