Woodland Nursing Operations LLC and another entity must face a medical negligence lawsuit over a stroke patient who hit his head and later died because an expert report submitted in support of the case adequately explained causation, a Texas appeals court said.
Although the expert report was “disjointed” when read as a whole, it explains how and why the patient’s injury is linked to the patient’s death, the Texas Court of Appeals, Second District said Thursday.
Defendants Woodland and Trinity Healthcare LLC both manage Eastland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where patient Thomas Vaughn was taken after he suffered a stroke. ...
