A woman who had her right leg amputated following a delay in her transfer to another hospital will be able to continue her lawsuit against two doctors after a Texas appeals court ruled that her expert reports satisfy the Texas Medical Liability Act.
Taken together, the two expert reports provide a sufficient how and why of the causal relationship between the breaches of the applicable standards of care and harm, the Texas Court of Appeals, Fourteenth District, said on Tuesday.
