Texas Doctors Must Face Suit Over Ureter Injury Treatment Delay

A woman who suffered various infections that her doctors allegedly failed to link to a surgical complication for over a month after her hysterectomy will be able to continue a lawsuit against six doctors, after a Texas appeals court ruled Thursday her expert report was sufficient.

Sylvia Morrison had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy that resulted in an injury to her ureter, the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder.
