A Texas doctor accused of inseminating at least two patients with his own sperm lost an appeal against the state medical board to dismiss complaints against him under the regulatory agency’s statute of limitations.
Physician Kim McMorries was accused of deceiving his patients during their artificial-insemination procedures in the 1980s, fathering at least two children as a result, the appeals court said. The patients, who opted for anonymous donors, allege they didn’t want to include their doctor as a possible donor.
