Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. should return to court to explain “significant and intentional misrepresentations” it made in winning dismissal from a high-stakes opioid case last year, New York’s attorney general said.

The Israeli company misled a judge about the extent of its US transactions to avoid a trial in which its US unit was ultimately found liable for creating a “public nuisance” with its opioid marketing, New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a court filing Monday.
