The IRS issued the automaker a certification worth $240.3 million in the second round of allocations for the tax credit under Section 48C(e), according to IRS announcement 2025-23 released Wednesday. Taxpayers that receive a certification for the credit must place the project in service within two years before being able to claim the credit. Taxpayers had to apply to be considered for an allocation of the credit.
