Tennessee says it’s set to lose $7 million by July if a federal appeals court doesn’t order the Biden Administration to immediately restore its family planning funding, the state said.
The US Department of Health and Human Services stripped Tennessee of more than $30 million over seven yearsfor refusing to comply with an ambiguous, “flip-flopping” rule that requires family planning providers to give patients nondirective abortion counseling and provide them with names of abortion providers, if asked, Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti (R) told the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit on April 5.
