Telehealth Is Succeeding During Pandemic. Is It Here to Stay?

Health-care experts see a telehealth boom ahead, as the convenience and efficiency of virtual doctors’ visits have proven especially useful during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lasting Leeway: Prior to the pandemic, lower reimbursement rates and risks of data privacy violations discouraged many doctors from conducting virtual visits. But the coronavirus emergency prompted the government to ease restrictions on telehealth, and some of those changes could be made permanent in light of its success.
