Telehealth providers and advocates praised the Biden administration’s move Friday to allow controlled substances to be prescribed online through 2024.
The second temporary extension of the Covid-19 pandemic-era policy by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Health and Human Services Department represents the administration’s willingness to listen to stakeholders to prevent harm to patients, said Dylan Beynon, CEO of Mindbloom, an online mental health company specializing in ketamine therapy for patients with depression and anxiety.
