‘Swinging Lifestyle’ Allegations Stay in Sex Harassment Suit

Allegations that the husband and wife owners of a dental practice engaged in a “swinging lifestyle” are potentially relevant to a former employee’s sexual discrimination and harassment suit, and they won’t be stricken from her complaint, a federal court in Kansas said.

Rand and Laura Bowden’s voluntary comments in the workplace that they are swingers allegedly contributed to the hostile work environment experienced by Teri Reinkemeyer, and thus are material to her claims, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas said.
