The US Supreme Court will determine the constitutionality of a Colorado law banning talk therapy that encourages gay or transgender minors to change their sexual orientation or gender identity, the justices announced Monday.
The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit upheld the measure in September 2024, saying it regulated counselors’ conduct, not speech, and thus didn’t violate their First Amendment rights.
