The Biden administration issued guidance urging states to tie Medicaid nursing home payments to quality measures in order to improve safety and quality of care and ensure that facilities are properly staffed and resourced.

An informational bulletin issued by the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services on Monday details actions states can take under current Medicaid authority in order help improve employee wages, training and retention.
