Some Information on Device Identifiers Now Searchable on Database, FDA Says

Anyone can search or download information that medical device labelers have submitted to a global database for their products, the Food and Drug Administration said in a May 4 announcement.

The agency said that, in partnership with the National Library of Medicine, the data submitted to FDA’s Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID) are now publicly available. Access is through a website called AccessGUDID (the site can be found at http://accessgudid.nlm.nih.gov/ ).
