Soldiers Urge Action in Terror Support Suit Against Drugmakers

Gold Star Families and military veterans who were killed or wounded in attacks in Iraq between 2005 and 2011 say a decision by an appeals court in their Anti-Terrorism Act lawsuit is overdue.

The plaintiffs allege that the defendants—pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies—violated the act by working with an Iraq health ministry linked to a terrorist group. There are 21 defendants in this case from five corporate families—AstraZeneca, GE Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Roche, an earlier court ruling said.
