Seventeen More States Join Whistleblower Cases Alleging Wyeth Did Not Report Prices

AUSTIN, Texas—An additional 17 states May 14 filed a memorandum supporting their motion to join two pending actions alleging Wyeth avoided paying hundreds of millions of dollars in rebates to state Medicaid programs for the acid suppressant drug Protonix (United States ex rel. Kieff v. Wyeth; United States ex rel. Lacorte v. Wyeth).

The states—Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming—May 7 filed motions to intervene in the litigation pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
