Justices to Review Family Planning Abortion ‘Gag’ Rule Cases (1)

The U.S. Supreme Court will resolve a circuit split over a Trump administration rule that prohibits federally funded family planning providers from referring clients for abortion, it said Monday.

The nation’s top court consolidated and granted review of decisions from the Fourth and Ninth Circuits concerning the validity of a U.S. Health and Human Services Department rule implementing Title X, the federal program that awards millions of taxpayer dollars every year to programs that provide family planning services to low-income Americans.
