The drugmakers Sanofi, Eli Lilly & Co. and Novo Nordisk A/S said they received subpoenas from the New York Attorney General’s office on prices for insulin.
Sanofi said the subpoena requests documents related to discount programs, sales and expenses, contracting, marketing materials and legal proceedings, according to a regulatory filing on July 29. Sanofi and Lilly said separately that they’re cooperating with the inquiry. Novo said in an email that “we ensure that our business practices are consistent with legal and regulatory requirements, and are compliant with the law.”
