Salesforce Denied Rehearing of Sex Trafficking Liability Case

Salesforce.com Inc. must face a lawsuit alleging it provided support to a now-defunct classifieds website that became overrun with sex trafficking ads, as a divided federal appeals court declined to revisit a panel’s decision that the company isn’t protected by a controversial internet liability shield.

Six of the ten judges in active service on the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit voted to deny Salesforce’s petition for a rehearing before the full appeals court, according to a Wednesday order.
