Almost $2.4 billion in federal grants went to states and local organizations in fiscal 2020 to support research, medical care, and services for people living with HIV, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
The bulk of that total was $2.24 billion in Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program grants to cities, counties, and states for medical care, medication, and essential support services for more than 500,000 people with HIV, the department said in a statement.
