RFK Jr. Fends Off Lawmakers Over HHS Cuts While Lauding AI Use

US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. touted to lawmakers the Trump administration’s use of artificial intelligence while defending sprawling agency cuts critics say hinder needed medical research and set back the US on the international stage.

“Even the initial introductions that we’re making with AI have already quickened the clinical trial process,” Kennedy told the Senate Appropriations’ Labor, Health, and Education Subcommittee Tuesday."I can’t even imagine the kind of opportunities that we’re going to get from this, from transitioning to AI and marrying that with biomedical research.”
