Republicans Accuse Medicaid of Poor Fraud Oversight (1)

The Medicaid program is doing a poor job of reining in fraud, waste, and abuse, a problem that’s costing taxpayers billions of dollars every year, a report from Senate Republicans said.

Medicaid overpayments have grown from $14.4 billion in 2013 to $37 billion in 2017, a 157 percent increase, according to a report released by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Republicans June 20.
