Reformulated HHS Autism Panel Plunges Ahead, Backs Proposals

An influential Health and Human Services Department advisory panel voted Tuesday in favor of four autism policy recommendations, despite pushback from some federal members that they had not had enough time to gain feedback from their agencies.

Federal and public members split on whether they were ready to vote on the recommendations released last week and if they could be in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
