Reckitt Benckiser Dings Investor Suit Over Suboxone Marketing

Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC asked a Manhattan federal judge to ax an investor suit tied to a former subsidiary’s opioid addiction treatment, saying the case challenges accurate, general statements that didn’t obligate the company to “self-accuse on behalf of a subsidiary.”

Investors were already aware of challenges to the marketing practices surrounding Suboxone Film when defendants made the allegedly false and misleading statements at issue in the lawsuit, Reckitt said in a motion to dismiss filed June 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
