Cancer researchers must address racial inequalities linked to gaps in research and care and “commit to taking actions to make things better,” the National Cancer Institute director said Tuesday.
The National Cancer Institute is working with other federal agencies as well as its parent agency, the National Institutes of Health, on new ideas to eliminate health disparities, Ned Sharpless said during an address at the American Association of Cancer Research’s annual meeting.
