Quest Diagnostics Wins Antitrust Class Action

Quest Diagnostics Inc. won judgment against a consumer complaint that it monopolized the Northern California market for medical diagnostic testing (Eastman v. Quest Diagnostics Inc., N.D. Cal., 3:15-cv-00415-WHO, 4/26/16).

Judge William H. Orrick dismissed the suit with prejudice in an April 26 order, saying the plaintiffs have wasted three attempts to plead plausible antitrust claims and aren’t likely to succeed on a subsequent attempt.
