Public Health Groups Oppose Trump’s Move to Toss Menthol Ban

Anti-tobacco groups are pushing back on the Trump administration’s move to withdraw a proposed FDA rule that would ban the sale of menthol cigarettes.

An opposition response filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Northern California by the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council and other public health groups follow President Donald Trump’s move to list a proposed ruling to ban menthol cigarettes as “withdrawn” in a regulatory docket during his first week in office.
