Poor Falling Through Cracks as Medicaid Enrollment Rate Drops

Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program experienced a 2.5% enrollment decrease between May 2017 and May 2019—the largest drop in 40 years. Many of the 1.9 million people who fell off are still eligible for government sponsored insurance.
