Planned Parenthood Federation of America is dropping a lawsuit that challenged a provision of Republicans’ 2025 tax and spending law intended to “defund” the group and its members by withholding Medicaid money.
The organization voluntarily dismissed the case in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts Friday, after deciding it wasn’t the best way to achieve its goal of ensuring patients get the medical care they need and deserve from trusted providers, a Planned Parenthood spokesperson said.
