Physicians Must Face Trial Over Misdiagnosed Blood Clot

A Kentucky man who lost most of his hand after physicians failed to diagnose a blood clot that cut off his circulation will get to go to trial against the allegedly negligent health-care providers.

Physicians Edward Murdock and Jason Hunt, and Hunt’s practice group, weren’t entitled to pretrial judgment in Jake Richmond’s medical malpractice case, the Kentucky Court of Appeals said April 5. It reversed summary judgment for the providers.
