Pharma Group Sues to Block Louisiana’s Drug Distribution Law

A Louisiana law regulating drugmakers’ participation in a federal drug discount program causes direct conflict with federal law, according to the leading trade group representing the pharmaceutical industry.

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, or PhRMA, moved for summary judgment Friday against Louisiana’s Act 358 in the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana Lafayette Division.
