Pfizer Sued by Texas Over ‘Adulterated’ ADHD Drugs for Kids (1)

Pfizer Inc. and a smaller closely held drugmaker were sued by Texas over claims they distributed ADHD medication to children while the treatment was “adulterated” due to deficient manufacturing practices.

The drug giant and Tris Pharma Inc. provided Quillivant through the Medicaid program for poor and disabled people despite the product’s pattern of failing quality control tests, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in the lawsuit.

New York-based Pfizer said it had examined the allegations in the lawsuit and found no impact on the safety of the product.
