PetSafe Shock Collars Falsely Touted as Safe, Dog Owner Alleges

PetSafe-brand shock collars are falsely marketed as “safe” and “harmless” tools for preventing unwanted behavior in dogs when they cause physical and psychological harm, a California dog owner says in a proposed class action against manufacturer Radio Systems Corp.

Radio Systems uses “neutral euphemisms” to describe what being electrocuted by a shock collar feels like for a pet, Steven Hernandez alleges in a suit filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
