Pennsylvania has sued a Pittsburgh-based chain of nursing homes for failing to provide basic care to residents and consistently billing for services that were not provided, the state’s Office of Attorney General said Nov. 4 (Commonwealth v. Grane Healthcare Co., Pa. Commw. Ct., 607 M.D. 2016, filed 11/3/16).
Grane Healthcare Co., which operates 12 nursing facilities in the state, violated the commonwealth’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law by misleading consumers about the level of services it provided, according to the complaint, filed Nov. 3 in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
