Pennsylvania Appeals Court Upholds $2.2 Million Verdict in Birth Injury Case

A Pennsylvania appeals court Oct. 5 affirmed a judgment entered on a $2.2 million verdict for the parents of a baby who died at 17 months from complications associated with cerebral palsy that allegedly resulted from the negligence of doctors and hospital staff during his birth (Hatwood v. Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, Pa. Super. Ct., 3242 EDA 2011, 10/5/12).
